How the firm came about
Samaanta Law Firm was established in 2025 by Roopenshu Pratap Singh, who had until then practised as a partner at BSK Legal. It grew out of a specific observation drawn from years in Delhi’s family and criminal courts: that outcomes in those courts turn far too often on the quality of representation a person can afford or happens to find, rather than on the strength of their case.
What we do
The firm practises across three connected divisions. General Litigation covers civil, criminal, family, constitutional, arbitration, consumer, property, service and environmental disputes, from the district courts of Delhi to the Supreme Court of India. Corporate advises founders, micro and small enterprises and established companies on structure, contracts, employment, intellectual property, data protection and regulatory compliance. Banking & Recovery acts in debt recovery, SARFAESI and DRT proceedings, insolvency before the NCLT, and cheque dishonour matters.
Alongside these sits the NRI Desk, which handles the particular problems of clients living outside India: jurisdiction, service, recognition of foreign decrees, property held at a distance, and proceedings that must be conducted without the client in the room.
How we work
The firm is deliberately small. Your matter is conducted by someone who has read the file completely, not handed to whoever is available on the date, and you have direct access to that person. Fees are agreed in writing before a stage begins. Briefs are read twice, precedent is checked for whether it still holds, and nothing is carried into court that has not been read.
We are candid about which disputes are worth litigating. Where the commercial or personal reality favours settlement or mediation, we say so at the outset rather than after two years of hearings.
Where we are
The litigation practice operates from Mayur Kunj in East Delhi, close to the Karkardooma and Saket court complexes and within reach of the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court. The corporate and commercial division operates from Gurugram. The firm is registered as a micro enterprise under Udyam.
