Dedicated cross-border legal assistance

For clients living outside India who are party to proceedings here, or who need property, succession and family matters handled in India while they cannot easily travel.

How It Works

Most of an Indian matter can be run without you here

Distance creates three recurring problems: proceedings that move in India without the client’s knowledge, decrees obtained abroad that Indian law may not recognise, and property or succession matters that require presence the client cannot give.

All three are manageable, but they are time-sensitive. An ex-parte decree can be set aside, though limitation runs from the date of knowledge. A foreign matrimonial decree may or may not survive Section 13 of the Code of Civil Procedure. A power of attorney executed the wrong way will be refused at the sub-registrar and the trip will have been wasted.

We tell you at the outset which hearings genuinely require you in India, so you plan travel once rather than repeatedly.

Working Across Time Zones

Consultations by video

We hold consultations outside Indian office hours where the time difference requires it. Send a short chronology and whatever documents you already have; we will tell you what is missing before the call rather than during it.

Speak to a lawyer about your matter.

Tell us what has happened and what you need. We will tell you candidly whether you have a case, what it would take, and how the matter would be conducted.
