This policy explains how Samaanta Law Firm handles personal information collected through this website. It should be read with our disclaimer.
What we collect
If you complete the consultation request form we collect the name, telephone number, email address, location, area of law and description of your matter that you provide. If you contact us by email or telephone we collect whatever you choose to tell us. Our hosting provider logs standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited.
Why we collect it
- to respond to your request and assess whether we can act;
- to carry out conflict checks before accepting instructions;
- to comply with our professional and statutory obligations;
- to maintain and improve this website.
Legal basis and consent
We process this information on the basis of the consent you give when you submit the form, and thereafter as necessary for the performance of any engagement and for compliance with law. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may withdraw consent at any time by writing to us, subject to any record-keeping we are professionally required to maintain.
Who sees it
Requests are received and handled by members of the firm. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not share it with third parties except where required by law, by a court or by a regulator, or where you have asked us to — for example when instructing counsel or an expert on your matter.
Third-party services
The consultation request form is delivered through a third-party form service, and the map on the contact pages is embedded from Google Maps. Those providers process data under their own policies. We do not run advertising or behavioural tracking on this site.
Retention
Requests that do not result in an engagement are retained only for as long as is necessary for conflict checking and then deleted. Files for matters we act on are retained in accordance with our professional obligations.
Security
This website is served over HTTPS. Email and web forms are not secure channels; please do not send confidential or privileged material through them before an engagement is confirmed.
Your rights
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be erased where we are not required to retain it. Write to contact@samaantalawfirm.com.
Grievances
Any grievance about the handling of your personal data may be addressed to the Managing Partner at contact@samaantalawfirm.com. We will respond within a reasonable period.
Changes
We may update this policy. The version on this page is the current one.
