Our commitment
People come to a law firm’s website at difficult moments, and often not by choice. This site is built so that it can be used by as many of them as possible, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard alone, magnification, or a slow connection.
Standard
The site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is a target rather than a certified audit result, and the section below says where we know we fall short.
What has been done
- Contrast. Body and heading text meets or exceeds the 4.5:1 ratio required at Level AA, in both the ivory and navy sections of the site.
- Keyboard. Every menu, accordion, form field and link is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus outline, and a skip-to-content link is the first item on every page.
- Structure. One
h1per page, headings in order, landmark regions, and breadcrumbs on every inner page. - Images. Photographs carry descriptive alternative text; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
- Motion. All animation is disabled automatically for visitors whose system requests reduced motion.
- Zoom and reflow. The site reflows to 320 pixels and remains usable at 200 per cent zoom.
- Weight. No framework, no tracking scripts, and self-hosted fonts, so pages load quickly on a poor connection.
Known limitations
- The Google Maps embed on the contact and office pages is third-party content whose accessibility we do not control. The full postal address is given in text immediately beside it, and in the footer of every page.
- The consultation request form is submitted through a third-party service. Its own confirmation screens are outside our control; the address contact@samaantalawfirm.com and the telephone number +91 83685 88897 are always available as alternatives.
- Some longer pages carry dense legal text. We are shortening sentences as pages are revised.
